Reasonable Qatari Speaks Out By Posting Honest Commentary on Qatarsucks.com

"I am a Qatari and I don't mind that you're insulting us that much, because I see that you've suffered when you came here and it's very probable that you did... I also detest how the youth here have turned out, the majority of them are stuck up and ignorant and only care for superficial things but I'd like to justify why they act that way...

I honestly think that all the problems in Qatar spawned from the shitty ass ruling family here... they're the ones who dictate what's "cool" to wear and do and thus the youth follow them like the lambs they are... and 99% of the ruling family's members are stuck up pieces of shit and I agree with all of the list's insults if it was directed at them... and by the ruling family, I mean anybody who's last name is the same as the Amir.

Members of the ruling family are the ones known to marry their relatives (so the family fortunes won't go to other people)... most faggots in Qatar are from the ruling family , they're the most superficial people with their lambos and porches and watches that would cost a labor worker his salary for a 100 months, and they, as I've said earlier, are the most stuck up.

But the people don't complain or speak because they are being forcefully silenced by the power of money and greed, like their mouths are being stuffed with money so they speak up...

However, I must admit that most expats that I've seen have it pretty much made up here, or else they wouldn't even be in here... as you've said, it's hot and humid and people here are not welcoming and above all, people part with their families to come here, so if they didn't have a good enough reason to be here, they wouldn't... by expats I don't mean Indians and Filipinos but Americans and Brits etc.
and If anybody who's currently in Qatar and is being treated unfairly and is reading this, the human rights building is in Duhael opposite to Dahl al hamam park... I hope that they help you as they've helped others.

In conclusion, I'd like to thank you for making this website... thanks to it, you've revealed to alot of people how much this place needs improvement before it can be called a satisfactory place to live in... I just hope that this won't continue in my children's generation.

My Wife is in Qatar and is leaving... fortunately!

I'm a filipino guy who's wife has got an opportunity to work in Qatar for a large furniture company. She's got a nice place to live in, not a too nice pay, but she's a sales executive so we decided to give it a try. After only 3 months, my wife had been through different conflicts with her Qatari colleagues. Especially her boss, one of the owner's concubine, who's been in a same position with hers, don't know what happened to her but she used to have that Porche my wife's going to have and all the nice stuff my wife's heading into. To cut the story short, everyone made her life upside-down, that was while she's helping her boss's apartment rental business where she's got her room, going an extra mile. Now she's going back with no regrets.

NO LAW NO NOTHING IN QATAR ,

NO SIGN OF PERSON WHO DECIDED TO THROUGH ME OUT WITH MY FAMILY WITHOUT TELLING ME THE REASON OR MISTAKE I HAVE DONE , OHH GOD I WANT THE WHOLE COUNTRY OF QATAR SHOULD BE OVER TURN ON THE HEAD OF GOVERMENT WHO MAKE PEOPLE CRY WHOLE LIFE WITHOUT ANY SIN ,,
I HATE QATAR AND I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK WHAT EVER THEY ARE ,,,,,,,,,
SERVING 20 YEARS AND THEY THROUG ME OUT IN 20 DAYS WITHOUT ANY REASON WITHOUT ANY SIN ...
HATE YOU HATE YOU QATARI GOVERMENT ,,,,

I am very sorry!!!!

Even if I say sorry a hundred times for each and every person who suffered in Qatar I think it won't be even near enough. I am Qatari and this is the first time I open this site and I just realized how ignorant I am. I knew that non-Qatari's are treated badly but I never imagined it is to this extend. I always thought that maybe Qatar is going in a better direction but now I know only one thing. Qatar is ruined beyond hope. This problems happening and everyone are averting their look away this society is rotten to the core. I know that 99.999%  of Qatari's are ignorant, hypocrite and stupid people to boost they forget that if this ever done to them they would hate it, despite it.... My deepest apologies wont satisfy a single person but I will say it a hundred time, I'm really sorry for all what happened to you and I will pray for all of you to find happiness in this short life that will make you forget about all of the bad times in this stupid, rotten country.

I have worked in Qatar and

I have worked in Qatar and found people who choses to work for Qataris are slave they have no identity, they would rather be a slave to men who have just started driving. There is nothing in Qatar than a bunch of losers and people who falls for everything. I left Qatar to come back to UK, no amount of money was worth losing my identity. Most of the people in Qatar have double personalities whether they are Qatari or foreigners specially the arabs, they would do and kiss anything to stay in Qatar for the money, they are worst than slaves to those qataris. Those foreigners in Qatar are a bunch of hypocrites who are there for the money. The would rather be slave to some arabs who have just gotten off camels than work and serve their countries. There are more alcohol and prostitution and abuser there than in most countries around. Dont be fool because of the size of the country nor the porshe driven by a teenage Al Thani family. I had the most powerrful men trying to take me out, they think all blonde and blue eyes are at dump as them and they think they can buy people with money. I would not run after a porshe but you cant buy me Love! Qatari and the foreigners there are a bunch of losers and greedy people but are blind to see it, but others are not blind. Whether you are britons, germans, turkish or North American, you all are bunches of losers and greedy for money, except for the Egyptians, hats off to them, they were being oppressed by their dictator, the rest are as rubbish as they look and live.

The truth shall set you free

I had no idea about this site until I left Qatar, thankfully I am free as a bird now and my mind did not end up too corrupted. Wanted to share with you my blog, which is about my hatred for Qatar and was written over the 3 year period that I lived there. Hope you find some solidarity in the pieces I have written. Keep up the good work, Qhris

Qatari too

I do agree about the stuck up and ignorant. They think they are better than everyone and I always avoid being friends with them. I hate going to malls and seeing them especially the males are like dogs giving their numbers and following any passing girl such losers I would love to slap their faces each with a dirty shoe. Although I have to admit there are good Qataris...they are just hard to find. All they care about is "whats your families name" "what cars do you have" even a teacher said "no one cares how many cars you have, that doesn't mean they will respect you". I wish they weren't so nosy but they are and majority are racist to darker skins but not that much for white infact I think they treat them better...Idk this is from my point of view. Qatari is very safe though which is a good thing unless you are walking but shipping in Qatar sucks so much I tried to ship body products and books when they arrived the post office took some of the books and opened the box of products.

Life In Qatar

I am a Young man from the western world and Qatar is the first GCC country I have lived. I have been here 14 months now. and i am thankful for my job, I have a good one. But i just wish it was in a different country!

I try to live my life away from Qataris as much as possible, The times when i find it hard is when I drive (and i do a lot). the rules of "in-sha-ala" do not apply to everyone. If you drive like a fuck wit and kill your self and/or others.... Its not because God wants to you die then and there, and there was nothing you could have done about it anyway....... its called manslaughter "(the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought!!!!, or otherwise in circumstances not amounting to murder)" there is nothing that will change my mine about this... I Hate the driving here. It is one of the big reasons why i will leave this god forsaken place. I have been in and seen 4 cash's in my short life and they happen very easily when you drive the way these guys/ladies drive. I have had friends die back home in road cash's. this is not funny to me and a lot of other people who use these road. Its ignorance and arrogance and can only be understood in this way.

I have only meet a few Qataris, but like even less. I was lucky enough to meet the Emir last month and for what I saw he is a nice man. But just a man all the same, playing SIM City in real life.. I feel that he finds himself in a Juxtaposition being so far detached from the reality of others and yet being just the same in the end. death and illness being the great equalizer. No man can take money with them. the thing that i liked most about meeting the Emir was that he does not care to much for "things" as other Qataris Seem to. he cares more about his legacy and Qatar's Legacy. And who am I to say if he is doing a good job or not..... I feel that weather or not he knows that some people are living in hell, does not make a difference to him as long as he gets his grand plan done before he dies. I am sure that he does not want harm a pond any man that works here. but it will happen and i am sure that he knows that.

I have a rear job that lets me see into parts of Qatar that not many get to or want to see. From construction sites, labor camps, Gas plants to ministers offices and meeting the Emir. I am sure there are nice people here. but we have nothing in common for me to be friends with them, I am sure they would not like me too. It would be like a fish making friends with a bird. So my life here as a result is very lonely. after a year of this place. I have made my peace with that. It helps me to know that i am leaving soon and making alot of money while i am here. I am looking for another Job in Dubai. because at the end of the day. there is no work back home.

So I think that you have to do what is best for yourself. Use Qatar like Qatar is using you. Make your money and leave and dont look back.
I do feel bad for the guys here that don't have a better option. and just because someone can not afford to lose there Job or has no Job at home. does not mean you should pay them less then they are worth.! to take advantage of some one like that is to enslave them and take there soul because that is when a human needs help the most. And we are all human in the end.

Just what i have been thinking about

Immunity from prosecution for Qataris=contin.misbehaviour!!

Any -if ever- existing laws in Qatar regardless whether labour law, civil law (incl. contractual law) criminal law, human and/or civil rights are completely useless in Qatar, not only because they are constantly and continuously ignored, BUT mainly because almost all !Qataris ( especially of course when bearing the same name as the Emir's family) are COMPLETELY IMMUNE FROM ANY PROSECUTION. They can mistreat , insult, beat, steal or even kill people (especially foreigners, but even between their own compatriots whose immunity of prosecution is then depending on their 'level' of AL-Thani power and influence) and regardless if they kill people by their rude manner of driving their cars without respecting any traffic rules, or they kill human beings directly-just for 'fun' or aggression. They very rarely are really punished/ prosecuted for their crimes and misbehaviour and disrespects vs others!!
This is one of the main issues from their childhood until 'adult age' to prevent them from changing their way of treating others and to treat others with respect!
N.B. I must admit, some of the former and older generation of those being now about 55+ of age, are a bit better if they did not get spoiled by money of power!

Why and what should they fear, if no consequence/ prosecution for them will be applied? in other words and worse: Without fearing and facing any consequences of their misbehaviour, many of them (not to say ..most) even believe that they are right with their way of 'acting'- since.. there is and will be no prosecution for them!!

And on top of all that, they still have this modern slavery "Sponsorship' system and having the power to just take advantage and abuse of the foreigners working and/or living under their 'sponsorship' who are treated like slaves who cannot breath, not eat, not have a bank account, not exit the country or change a job without their consent, NOL letter and release of their holding of slavery ..just to be 'able' eventually to change to a new one.

All this enables and encourages the Qataris to go on with their daily civil/contractual and human rights violations!
And.. the Emir and Sheikha Mozah who know all this... don't do anything against it.

Firstly when I was in Qatar for about 4 years and me as a victim with many other concerned colleagues of all nations, I thought.. the Emir and Sheikha Mozah and/ or Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani would not really know whats going on in their country.
But since we all wrote and contacted them -even on high levels and through upper international authorities, we now know that they are fully aware of these daily abuse, offenses of all kind!.. and unfortunately many international and western countries' governments know it, too. But they do not really want to make it public and to remind the Qataris to stop their human rights violations and contract and civil law violations on a daily basis... since they are all and mostly just looking for their money and business with them.. and most of these governments do not even know in which 'hands' they 'll be at a later stage.. when it will be too late!

What a place which is building up their country only on fake and/ or false marketing (with mostly no content since no know how!) with their money-and without any ethic, moral or respect- a country of zombies.
I am finally out of this terrible place on earth , but still suffering of the consequences of non payment for my hard work, my destroyed economically existence and future and my health problems ever since. And.. I just came for an original two years contract- and I did not want more. And,by the way the salary in Doha was not much more than I was used in Europe before and as an experienced specialist. But now I am lacking of almost 3 years of total income and the all the costs I had to spend to go to (useless) courts, to live somewhere etc.since I could not exit the country for over a year and to restart from nothing in my European home town.

Labour Law

My company breaks half the rules in the Labour Law.

Why should it give a shit! They are no regulators!!!

Is a big scam.

Working In Qatar

This situation always happen here, for crying out loud when are these people consider the labor law. Especially in the construction and hospitality business. Cost of living is not in-line with minimum salary.

Just my two cents.

Working in Qatar

I lived in Qatar for almost 5 years, it was bad at times, but you get used to being inconvenienced and you move on. It's a safe place for families and workers who come from 3rd world countries to make a living. The reason I am posting this was of an incident that happened to me earlier this year and made me full of discust and anger.

I got laid off from my work for qatarization reasons, and I accepted that, after all it's their country, even though my position was never filled. So, I was out of work for 4 months until I got 2 offers, one was a government offer and the second was a temporary assignment. So I took the assignment while waiting for the other offer.

I got a call from the government offer that i was accepted and signed the contract. Being confirmed by the contract, i resigned from the first job. A week later, I got a call saying I was rejected by CID due to the job title ( management title). So, I lost both jobs.

It was a wakeup call for me to leave and never come back and I left and much happier where I am now.
