India Blacklists 14 Shameful Qatari Companies, 40 More Evil Firms on Watch List
Ministry for Overseas Indian Affairs has blacklisted 14 Qatari companies at the recommendation of the country's embassy for not treating Indian workers properly. Another 40 local firms have been put on the mission's watch-list following complaints from Indian workers about not fulfilling their contractual obligations.
"This is only a watch-list and as and when a company is found to have improved its track record, its name would be removed from it," George Joseph, the Indian ambassador to Qatar, was quoted as saying in media.
Half-a-dozen Indians, including two maids, are languishing at the detention center for over 6 months. The Qatari authorities are said to be tracking their sponsors to retrieve their passports.
The mission, while putting the total number of Indians held at the deportation center by March 1 this year at 87, said the figure was down from a high of 146 in January. There are 25 maids among the 87 Indian detainees, a senior mission official said.
The Qatari authorities have eased visa restrictions for Indians and this literally has opened a floodgate. A lot of Indians are coming here to take up professional, semi-skilled and unskilled jobs, Joseph said.

They enjoy and relish sacking employees all day long, even if your a Senior Manager!! They really don't care.
I know of many people that went out to join Qatar Airways as managers in Sales, Marketing and other departments. All were sacked for no reason what so ever, just because the CEO didn't like them.
They promise and offer you great salaries and packages at the interview, but when the contracts come through, it's very different.... , much lower!!
They then say, " Oh , after the 6 month probation period we will increase it to what was agreed"....So you stay and suffer in the hell hole for 6 long enduring, pain staking months and then....... they sack you !! This is what happened to my husband as a Senior Manager.
You must be thinking " I wonder what he did wrong "????????
ANSWER: Nothing.
He worked really hard ever day, never late, never any time off.
Totally abused by his Manager, ( who did sod all himself !!)
It was a shocking, but I have to say it was a blessing from God! My husband is now back home in a civilized country and managed to rebuild his career here and is happier then ever. He now says his time in Qatar was a bad chapter in his life that he wants to put behind him.
Many of the friends he made in the short time he was there, were also complaining of the company. These friends had left good jobs in the west to work in Qatar, from the UK, USA and Canada. They all complained that they hadn't been given what was promised to them when the jobs were offered. They were told after their 6 months probation they would get the salary, grade and package they were promised..... Their still waiting !!!
I've had to live through this saga with him and just wish to warn others, be warned and DON'T work for Qatar Airways.

Yes it’s true that AAB prays to god and fasting during Ramadan But only for one month he is trying to be good. Think about what you have done in the past 11 month AAB? Let me remind you; abusing your crew, forcing them to be your girlfriend, terminating them because they don’t want to be with you, taking your favorite girl to Qatar airways promotions and inviting them to your hotel room offering them sex and if don’t wish to do it they will be sent back home for some silly reasons. You and your partner alfardan.
